Complaints Procedure – Klachtenportaal Zorg

klachtenportaal.webp

Every healthcare provider is required to offer clients the opportunity to file a complaint about the care they’ve received. To do this, the provider must follow a complaints procedure that meets the requirements of the Dutch Healthcare Quality, Complaints and Disputes Act (Wkkgz).

Sometimes, dissatisfaction may arise in the care relationship. The Wkkgz was designed to help resolve such issues in a constructive and efficient way. Most concerns can be resolved through open dialogue between you and your care provider.

As a client, your healthcare provider has partnered with Klachtenportaal Zorg to handle this process.

If needed, you can receive free and independent support from a complaints officer. If the issue still isn’t resolved, it can be brought before an independent disputes committee.

What could a complaint be about?

A complaint may relate to:

  • A decision made by your care provider

  • The way you were treated

  • The quality of care provided

  • Lack of response or incomplete information from the provider

How to file a complaint

  1. Start by discussing the issue directly with your care provider.

  2. Can’t reach a solution together? Either party may contact Klachtenportaal Zorg:
